Maple Corner produces bedroom, dining room, and home office furniture available in Maple, Cherry and Walnut, specializing in Cherry. We employ a dozen furniture makers from Central Vermont. Since 1982, we have developed two design lines - Shaker and Harvest Moon. The Shaker line is noted for its delicate, clean lines and the Harvest Moon line is known for the light Asian style with modern detailing. Any piece made from Maple Corner is guaranteed to last for as long as you own it. Our beds are of special interest; since they are made with a superior platform there is no need for a box spring or tools to assemble. Open Monday-Friday, 7-5; Saturday & Sunday, by appointment only. Tours by appointment. 26 Northfield Wood Products Company Inc. Northfield Wood Products is a contract moldings, shapings, and routings house located in Vermont. This is our 60th year specializing in wood tools and handles, housewares, sporting equipment, furniture, toys, crafts, kitchen, bath, tack accessories, and automobile wood products. Wood & Wood’s 4,000sf facility offers public exposure to the art of designing and custom fabricating sign systems, displays, decorative art, and home furnishings. The shop area includes a design studio, display area, paint room with a state of the art spray booth, and woodworking room. Past work includes signs for Ben & Jerry’s and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters as well as signs for healthcare, entertainment, retail, residential communities, resorts, schools, and historic preservation projects. Guided tours and tours by appointment available. 28 Bristol Woodworks With twenty-five years experience in the trade and ten years with the Smithsonian Institute you are sure to find a quality piece of furniture to please any taste. Bristol Woodworks specializes in the historic preservation of churches and older homes and also has a special interest in White Oak and Mahogany vestibule doors. Other examples of our fine crafted products are end tables, fireplace mantels, automotive woodwork, and interior boat trims. Observation area and showroom. The workshop in Whiting, where we make the best handcrafted solid wood furniture, boasts beautiful views in an idyllic Vermont countryside setting. To pique your interest, we also have a working sugarhouse and are involved in the Elm Tree Project, which is helping save Elm trees from Elm disease. You can see all our fine furniture in our Stowe Gallery, located in an historic building, just a short walk from Main Street. Guided and self-guided tours and demonstrations available. If you want to visit a shop where you can watch your children play and grow with award winning toys and games, Maple Landmark is the place for you. We were established in 1979 in Lincoln, VT and since have won 13 awards for our handcrafted toys and games. Such games include the very popular NameTrains and the Made By Me! Series, which includes a do-it-yourself truck, tugboat, engine, and tractor - perfect for any ambitious child. Personalized toys and intricate wooden ornaments are just a few of the collectibles you will also find at Maple Landmark. A 2000sf retail gallery and 600sf personal gallery provides an up close look at our whimsical sculptures. An added bonus of the breathtaking views of Lake Champlain, the Adirondack Mountains and Fort Ticonderoga from our gallery completes this worthwhile experience. Open seasonally. Tours available. 32 Granville Manufacturing Company Granville Manufacturing Company, known as “The Bowl Mill” has been producing unique-one-piece hardwood bowls, utilizing “modern” technology and machinery of the 19th Century in Vermont. The bowls produced are made from Maple, Yellow Birch, and Cherry that show the unique grain of each tree and contain a history of the weather, climate, and soil conditions experienced during growth cycles. The Mill also makes quartersawn clapboard siding in spruce on a Land Clapboard Saw manufactured in Montpelier, Vermont. Demonstrations, store, and gift shop. Bus parking available. We use the latest in cabinet designing software to give you a picture of what your kitchen, fireplace, office, or bookcase will look like even before it begins. Tours by appointment 34 Timothy Clark, Cabinetmaker and Chairwright Timothy Clark, Cabinetmaker/Chairwright designs, builds, and specializes in original Windsor chairs, benches, and rockers. You can also have a custom made bed designed for your bedroom, a case piece for your living room, or a table for your kitchen. Each piece is hand crafted of solid native hardwoods and built for comfort, beauty, and is made to last for generations.
