Since 1983, Mill River Lumber has been producing the highest quality Eastern White Pine lumber in the Northeast in our regularly updated facility. We give personal attention to your specific requests. We also make cut to size products for secondary wood manufacturers who are making toys, moldings, and furniture components. Visiting the facility is worth your while since it is a short distance from Rutland and the area’s popular ski resorts. Open Monday-Friday, 7-4 44 Andrews Furniture Andrews Furniture, conveniently located just two miles from downtown Woodstock, Vermont, sits nestled along the banks of Barnard Brook. The art of C. James Frazier is exhibited in the showroom, complimenting the solid wood furniture on display. Craftsmanship such as hand beading and bookmatching panels creates a unique line of traditional furniture. At Andrews Furniture you will find a workshop, art studio, showroom, gallery, and store. From the showroom, peer into the windows of the workshop to see the furniture handcrafted and each detail come to life. Using 17th Century techniques, each piece is handcrafted one at a time in our Vermont Barn. It is a fine location for my woodshop and I am pleased to be preserving a beautiful historic building. We mostly build furniture at the Freight House, but we do lots of different and interesting projects; we always like a challenge. This tractor (see photo), made mostly from wood and miscellaneous items from the thrift shop, has won several awards at local parades. Open Monday-Friday 8-5; weekends by appointment. When you visit Reid Richardson Woodturning you are actually visiting a working Dairy Farm! Our woodturning occurs in one quadrant of our farm shop. Raw wood is brought in from the farm property where it is prepared for turning, drying, finishing and selling. All products that are produced from Reid Richardson Woodturning comes from wood right off of our farm. Demonstrations and an observation area are available for visitors. For nearly 30 years Scott Duffy and his family have been designing and hand crafting hardwood furniture to grace the homes and offices of clients who appreciate finely made furnishings of distinct character. In addition to custom-made pieces designed in concert with our customers, we create figured hardwood game tables and boards, and one-of-a-kind furnishings, each individually inspired. A selection of these examples of “Artistry in Wood” is always available at our Studio Gallery at Rockledge Farm. All of our furniture is fashioned with the highest quality, hand selected native hardwoods, using time proven classic joinery, and a hand-rubbed finish. I am a versatile painter, specializing in hand painted, decorative furniture and wooden, hand carved signs. You’ll find gorgeous, detailed Vermont scenery, including workhorses and dairy cows, covering the entire piece of furniture, making anything in my workshop a collectible. Real wooden signs, with most lettering in 23K Gold, are a great compliment to any business. Tours by appointment only. 54 Ray Mullineaux Cabinetmaker In this 2,500sf cabinet shop located on the third floor of the Bennington County Industrial Building, you will find influences from Shaker, Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco periods in work ranging from complete rooms, kitchens, and dining suites to stand alone pieces of furniture. My work can be described as crisp, clean, durable, meticulous, functional, elegant, and well proportioned. Certain projects have grace and animal presence. Adams has manufactured wooden products of exceptional quality in its factory in Dorset, Vermont. We begin with the finest Northeastern kiln dried lumber that is selectively harvested from managed forests. In the Kitchen Store you will find the essentials to use with J.K.
